Senior SailPoint Architect – Identity Security Cloud (ISC)
Remote (U.S. Based) | 6-Month Contract (with Extension)
About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior SailPoint Architect (Contract) with deep hands-on expertise in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and enterprise Identity Governance. In this role, you’ll lead the architecture, modernization, and implementation of SailPoint ISC across a complex enterprise environment.
You’ll partner with cybersecurity, engineering, and business stakeholders to define the identity roadmap, drive integrations, and ensure best-in-class IAM design and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end SailPoint ISC architecture and deployment strategy
- Define the platform blueprint, governance model, and lifecycle automation design
- Build and optimize identity workflows, RBAC/ABAC models, certifications, and policy enforcement
- Architect application onboarding and integrations (Active Directory / Entra ID, HR platforms like Workday or SAP, and SaaS/cloud apps)
- Develop reference architectures and reusable standards for connectors, APIs, and provisioning workflows
- Partner with cybersecurity and architecture teams to align IAM initiatives with enterprise security goals
- Drive migration from IdentityIQ to ISC where applicable
- Ensure compliance with SOX, HIPAA, PCI, NIST, ISO 27001
- Oversee testing, cutover, and operational readiness
- Mentor and guide engineers and vendor partners
What You Bring
- 8+ years of Identity & Access Management experience
- 5+ years of SailPoint experience (IIQ and/or ISC)
- Proven architectural and hands-on ISC implementation experience
- Strong understanding of identity governance, RBAC/ABAC, and lifecycle automation
- Deep knowledge of AD/Entra ID, LDAP, REST APIs, and modern authentication (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Skilled in Java, Beanshell, Python, or JavaScript scripting
- Experience delivering IAM solutions across hybrid and cloud environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills, able to influence across teams
Bonus Skills
- SailPoint Architect or Professional Certification
- Experience migrating from IIQ to ISC
- Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, or other federation tools
- Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of CI/CD, Git, Terraform, or DevOps environments
- Experience working with managed services or implementation partners
