Job Description

About Our Client

Our client is on a mission to positively impact consumer health at scale, achieved through a new kind of soda: one that’s delicious, refreshing, and actually good for you. This mission is deeply personal, driven by a founder's journey of transforming personal health through nutrition and a deep curiosity about the connection between gut microbiome and overall wellness. After exploring various possibilities, the focus landed on soda, a familiar and beloved beverage, reimagined with more fiber and less sugar.

The result is a deliciously refreshing soda with significant fiber and low sugar, delivering science-backed benefits without sacrificing classic taste. Since its inception, the organization has been reshaping culture by creating products that support health for all and building a business grounded in humanistic values: empathy, integrity, and a belief in better for everyone. From the ingredients sourced to the culture fostered, the commitment is to prove that business can be a force for good, and that soda has the power to bring people together. Join the team and help write a new American soda story, one that can be felt good about, one sip at a time.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an IT Manager who is passionate about empowering teams through technology and ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and easy to use. This role is both strategic and hands-on, leading key IT initiatives while diving deep into tools like Microsoft 365, Zscaler, Okta, and Sophos. The IT Manager will drive IT policy, governance, and vendor management while helping shape how technology supports the organization's next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner with the IT Director and company leadership to define and execute the organization's IT strategy, roadmap, and annual priorities.
  • Establish, document, and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Own IT vendor management, from sourcing to contract negotiation, renewals, and ongoing performance.
  • Manage IT budget planning, spend optimization, and technology ROI reporting.

Systems & Operations

  • Oversee daily IT operations across cloud platforms, networking, endpoint management, and security infrastructure.
  • Manage upgrades, new deployments, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and clear communication across teams.
  • Drive SaaS lifecycle management: onboarding, access control, renewals, and integrations.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure uptime, system performance, and timely resolution of issues.

Security & Compliance

  • Lead information security initiatives, including SSO/MFA, identity governance, and zero-trust architecture through Okta and Zscaler.
  • Maintain and continually improve endpoint protection, patching, and data-loss prevention using tools like Sophos.
  • Conduct regular IT risk assessments, user-access reviews, and incident-response exercises.
  • Ensure audit readiness for ITGC, SOC 2, and SOX-related controls, supporting compliance with company security policies.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Lead cross-functional IT projects, including migrations, tool implementations, and automation initiatives, from scoping through delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SaaS providers, MSPs, and technology partners.
  • Deliver clear project documentation, timelines, and stakeholder communication.

User Experience & Support

  • Provide hands-on support and mentorship to IT staff and end-users, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Lead the transition of the IT helpdesk from external support to an internal model, establishing SLAs, processes, and escalation paths.
  • Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring proper provisioning, deprovisioning, and access governance.
  • Design and deliver internal training and self-service resources to promote productivity and security awareness.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of new security tools and endpoint-management platforms.
  • Continuously assess and enhance IT service delivery through automation, monitoring, and user feedback loops.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience managing IT operations in a cloud-first, SaaS-heavy environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Zscaler, Okta, Sophos, and related modern IT and security tools.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional IT projects and vendor management from negotiation through delivery.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, ITGC, and best practices for data protection and access management.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with enterprise business systems (e.g., NetSuite, Celigo) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting audit readiness and compliance programs (SOX, SOC 2).
  • Background managing or scaling small IT teams in high-growth environments.

Additional Information

  • Reports To: Director, IT
  • Compensation: $125k-$140k plus bonus

How They Work

Our client may be fully remote, but the team is anything but disconnected. The organization has grown from a few passionate people around a table to a nationwide team, and this growth has been achieved without losing the collaborative spirit or sense of purpose. Connection is intentional, from cross-functional projects and in-person offsites to thoughtful Slack threads and spontaneous gifs.

The effort is made to stay close, even across time zones. While the pace is quick, the approach is led by trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to doing work that matters. Thoughtful debate is valued, and feedback is given with care and received with curiosity, knowing that real growth, both personal and collective, comes from listening as much as leading. It’s not just about getting things done; it’s about growing together, staying true to what matters, and building something with lasting impact.

What They Value

The organization's values shape how everyone shows up: for each other, for customers, and for the mission being chased together.

  • Mission Connectivity: Everything done ladders up to the shared goal of supporting human health. Whether launching a new flavor or conducting clinical research, the mission stays front and center.

  • Indomitable Spirit: When things get messy, the team gets inventive. They stay curious, adapt quickly, and find the path forward, often with a dedicated Slack thread and a beautifully overbuilt deck.

  • Lead at Every Level: Leadership isn’t about titles; it’s about ownership. Team members speak up, follow through, and lift each other up. If you have ideas and initiative, you have influence.

  • Courageous Humility: Team members are confident in what they bring and curious about what they don’t know (yet). Feedback is given with care, taken with grace, and it’s understood that real growth takes both.

What They’re Looking For

Success doesn’t come from checking boxes; it comes from living the values, staying curious, and finding energy in both the pace and the purpose. The organization is building something big and is looking for people who:

  • Think big, move fast, and take thoughtful risks.
  • Thrive in a high-performance, feedback-rich environment.
  • Value real human connection and honest collaboration.
  • Are fired up by building something new and making it better every day.
