Founding Engineer - AI and Geospatial Systems

We are an early deep-tech company backed by technical founders with backgrounds in AI, geospatial systems, energy systems, and enterprise software. We are building at the intersection of machine learning, real-world infrastructure, and high-stakes decision automation. Our first customers are sophisticated institutional partners, and our roadmap is aggressive. We move quickly, work with focus, and build real systems that operate in production environments. We are now hiring our first founding engineer to help lead the technical foundation and accelerate execution.

What You Will Do

• Build core product modules end-to-end
• Build Agent-based AI pipeline
• Architect and scale backend, APIs, and data pipeline infrastructure
• Productionize ML models and agent logic (not just research)
• Stand up cloud infra, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and security
• Develop geospatial data workflows and pipelines
• Work closely with founders to ship fast and iterate
• Hold high engineering quality while delivering quickly
• Help shape hiring, culture, and engineering standards from day one

This is a true ownership role. You will not be “given tasks.” You will work on problems and deliver working systems.

Tech Stack Exposure

We do not require exact matches, but experience in most of these matters:

• Backend: Python, FastAPI, Node
• Front-end: React / Next.js
• Databases: Postgres/PostGIS, BigQuery or similar
• ML / Data: PyTorch/TensorFlow, vector databases, data pipelines
• Hands-on agent-based logic exposure
• Cloud: AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes (or experience running scalable systems)
• CI/CD and observability tools
• Bonus: geospatial tooling (GDAL, raster/vector data processing), CV, RL, agent frameworks

What You Bring

• You have shipped and maintained production systems end-to-end
• Strong full-stack engineering background
• ML engineering experience, including deployment
• Infra experience; you can set up and run cloud systems reliably
• You can move fast, think clearly, and simplify complex workflows
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and high responsibility
• You enjoy solving real problems, not just building features
• You care about quality, security, and reliability
• You act like an owner

Nice To Have

• Geospatial experience
• Infra/energy domain exposure
• Early-stage startup experience
• Built internal tools or platforms before

• Not a research-only role
• Not a narrow “backend/frontend only” role
• Not for someone who needs step-by-step direction
