This role reports directly to the CISO and will provide strategic oversight as well as hands-on leadership across core domains including Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, and Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM).

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations Leadership

• Lead the Security Operations team with a focus on real-time detection, monitoring, and automated incident response.
• Implement advanced threat detection and response technologies, improving operational resilience and readiness.

Vulnerability Management

• Build and scale a closed-loop vulnerability management program, from asset discovery to risk prioritization, remediation, and reporting.
• Integrate vulnerability management with IT and engineering workflows to drive accountability and reduce exposure.

Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM)

• Design and implement secure, scalable CIAM solutions across customer platforms.
• Ensure risk-based access controls and seamless user experiences that meet regulatory and business requirements.

Strategic and Enterprise Leadership

• Partner closely with the CISO to execute long-term cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.
• Influence cross-functional leaders to integrate security into product development, digital transformation, and enterprise operations.
• Serve as a senior cybersecurity voice in executive and board-level conversations, translating complex technical risks into business terms.
• Drive enterprise-wide change management initiatives to instill a security-first culture.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive-level role.
• Proven success leading functions such as Security Operations, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and CIAM.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Executive-level communication skills with a strong ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are strongly preferred.

Location Requirement

This is an on-site leadership role based in Portland, Maine. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Relocation support will be considered for qualified candidates.
