The Computer Applications and Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all digital systems function seamlessly, enabling our staff to deliver exceptional service across architectural, construction, and design projects. By maintaining and optimizing computer hardware, software, and communication platforms, this position helps drive organizational efficiency and supports our mission to create outstanding residential environments in the Florida Keys.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all computer systems, including software applications, servers, switches, printers, and other physical hardware at the office.
- Collaborate with third-party Managed Services Providers to manage both Microsoft and Apple hardware, software, cloud-based, and mobile systems.
- Implement and support Microsoft applications and cloud-based services such as Entra, Intune, Azure, SharePoint, Office 365, Teams, Teams Voice, as well as Acumatica accounting ERP software and Autodesk software/services.
- Upgrade, install, and configure application software and computer hardware as needed.
- Manage backup solutions and security software and hardware to ensure data and communications remain protected.
- Monitor computer systems to enhance network performance for both computers and networks.
- Provide general administrative and user support, including help desk ticket management, meeting setup, and other assigned duties.
- Administer and maintain all end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Train new and existing users on application software and systems to maximize adoption and effective use.
- Participate in internal meetings with project task members and identify follow-up needs.
- Conduct research, evaluation, and testing of computer products, software, services, and standards to support procurement, development, and implementation. Recommend hardware and software solutions to management.
- Primary work will be office-based, with occasional travel to project sites to communicate with remote teams.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to maintain system availability and perform upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in a Microsoft platform-related computer support role.
- Administrator-level certifications in Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra, Azure, or Power Platform are a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with initiative and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates integrity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Required Skills
- Experience with Microsoft applications and cloud-based services.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software maintenance.
- Ability to provide user support and training.
Preferred Skills
- Administrator-level certifications in Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra, Azure, or Power Platform.
- Experience with Acumatica accounting ERP software and Autodesk software/services.
