SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Hybrid/Remote
Compensation: $125K–$145K base
DC area based organization that is helping to modernize training and education through technology. They’re growing their engineering team and seeking an experienced Software Engineer — someone strong in JavaScript/TypeScript who enjoys working in a collaborative, innovative environment.
This role is remote (U.S.-based) and sits within a talented team building scalable, secure applications used by enterprise-level clients.
What you’ll do:
- Build and enhance applications using Next.js (frontend) and NestJS (backend) in a fully AWS-based environment.
- Design and develop new features, tools, and integrations that elevate their training and learning management systems.
- Contribute to AI-driven initiatives — such as automating Jira stories, chatbots, buildout of new features and intelligent tools for their clients.
- Be part of a team that values innovation, clean code, and continuous learning.

Ideal background:
- Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally NestJS + Next.js.
- Design, build, and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Strong database design experience (SQL or NoSQL).
- AWS experience (everything they build runs on it).
- Excited about using AI to elevate engineering work.
- PHP experience is a bonus, but not required.
Interview process: 30-min call with the CTO → short HackerRank (JavaScript, open book) → virtual team interview
