Senior SailPoint Engineer – Identity Security Cloud (ISC)
100% Remote (U.S. Based) | 6-Month Contract (Extension Likely)
About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior SailPoint Engineer (Contract) to take ownership of the design, configuration, integration, and deployment of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong experience across the full SDLC, API development/integration, and SaaS identity configuration in large-scale enterprise environments.
You’ll work closely with architecture, security, and application teams to modernize IAM capabilities and drive best practices for identity automation, access governance, and cloud enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery (SDLC) of SailPoint ISC implementations - from design and configuration through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Configure and optimize Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) workflows, access requests, certifications, and role-based access controls (RBAC/ABAC)
- Develop and maintain API and connector integrations with enterprise systems (Active Directory / Entra ID, HRIS platforms like PeopleSoft, Workday or SAP, and cloud/SaaS apps)
- Build and extend REST-based connectors, manage JSON payloads, and ensure high-performing integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable IAM technical solutions
- Implement and enforce IAM best practices, governance standards, and compliance requirements (SOX, PCI, HIPAA, NIST)
- Troubleshoot, test, and optimize ISC configurations to improve performance and reliability
- Document configurations, architecture diagrams, and operational guides for support readiness
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in peer reviews for quality assurance
What You Bring
- 5+ years in Identity & Access Management engineering
- 3+ years hands-on with SailPoint (ISC or IIQ) across design, configuration, and integrations
- Strong command of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile delivery methods
- Proven experience building and integrating REST APIs and JSON-based workflows
- Deep understanding of Active Directory / Entra ID, LDAP, HR systems, and cloud identity models
- Skilled in Java, Beanshell, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience implementing RBAC/ABAC, certifications, provisioning, and lifecycle automation
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- SailPoint Professional Certification (ISC or IIQ)
- Experience migrating from IIQ to ISC
- Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Exposure to CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Terraform, or other DevOps tools
- Knowledge of CyberArk or PAM integrations
