£40,000 - £52,000 per year basic salary (depending on experience).
Office based in Loughborough, working Monday to Friday 8am to 430pm.
Work from home flexibility 1-2 days per week.

Are you looking to expand your Mechanical Design knowledge of Power Transformers and Reactors?
Your job is to design, prepare and complete design and documentation packages including drawings in 3D CAD and PDM for Power Transformers with power ratings between 5MVA and 120MVA and voltages up to and including 145kV systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Produce Transformer and general assembly drawings. You are required to ensure that all designs and applied technology is compliant (with relevant technical, safety, and environmental standards).
Produce Bills of materials and upload on PDM system. You will also be producing Tender Documents, Technical details for Mechanical Design for preparation of O&M Manuals, Technical Datasheets, Compliance Docs, and shipping list for Transformers and Reactors.
Develop best practice for Transformer designs and process. This will include updating design software and assisting with continuous improvement of Transformer design and optimisation.
Supporting the company’s Purchasing, Quality, Projects, and IT department.
What qualifications, skills and experience do you require?
An accredited Bachelors of honours degree in engineering or technology / HND or Foundation Degree / Apprenticeship trained / Level 3 (or above).
You must have relevant Transformer Mechanical design experience in OEM (or similar environment)
Experience designing Power Transformers ranging from 66kv to 400kv
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk vault.
Experience in PDM system is preferable
