Full Stack Developer – Python, Cloud, Web (Remote, East Coast) - 6 month contract!

Fully Remote (MUST live on the East Coast or within a similar time zone)

The job:

We’re seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join the firm’s Capital Markets Technology team supporting a range of investment strategies, including fixed income, public equity, and special situations. This team builds cloud-native, high-performance systems used directly by traders, portfolio managers, and analysts to drive competitive advantage.

You’ll play a hands-on role designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable applications that integrate with sophisticated financial systems — while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and fellow engineers.

- Design and build web applications using Python, FastAPI, Django, and React

- Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs integrating with trading and portfolio systems

- Architect and deploy cloud-based solutions (AWS) with a focus on scalability and security

- Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraformfor containerization and infrastructure management

- Partner closely with portfolio managers, traders, and analysts to deliver impactful solutions

- Contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and system design discussions

You must have:

- 5+ years’ experience in full stack development (Python, Django/FastAPI, React or similar)

- Strong understanding of databases and SQL

- Experience deploying applications in AWS and working with containerization.

- Exposure to financial systems or data-driven applications (preferred)

- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
