Job Overview

The Senior Vice President of Product Strategy will be a key executive responsible for defining and executing Poloniex’s global product vision, roadmap, and strategic direction.

Reporting directly to the CEO and CSO, this leader will oversee all aspects of product strategy, innovation, and lifecycle management — ensuring that Poloniex’s product ecosystem remains competitive, compliant, and customer-centric across global markets.

The SVP will drive cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, marketing, and compliance to develop scalable, innovative, and market-leading solutions that meet the evolving needs of institutional and retail users alike.

Key Responsibilities

Global Product Strategy & Vision

Define and lead Poloniex’s global product strategy and roadmap in alignment with corporate goals and market expansion objectives.

Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs, and technological trends to guide innovation and competitive differentiation.

Translate strategic vision into actionable product initiatives that strengthen Poloniex’s market position and profitability.

Establish and maintain product governance frameworks to ensure alignment, prioritization, and execution discipline across all teams.

Product Portfolio Leadership

Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management across trading, liquidity, digital asset management, and institutional solutions.

Collaborate with engineering and design leaders to ensure seamless execution from ideation to launch and post-release optimization.

Evaluate product performance metrics and customer feedback to drive continuous enhancement and innovation.

Ensure all products reflect Poloniex’s brand promise of reliability, transparency, and user empowerment.

Innovation & Market Development

Champion a culture of innovation focused on scalable technologies, new asset classes, and blockchain integration opportunities.

Identify and prioritize strategic investments in emerging technologies such as DeFi, AI, and tokenized assets.

Build partnerships with blockchain ecosystems, technology providers, and research institutions to accelerate innovation.

Lead the conceptualization and launch of breakthrough products that expand Poloniex’s global influence.

Operational Execution & Global Coordination

Partner with global teams to align product initiatives with market-specific opportunities and regulatory requirements.

Implement systems and processes for product tracking, performance measurement, and strategic reporting.

Ensure effective communication and alignment between product, engineering, marketing, and operations functions.

Lead regular executive reviews on product performance, competitive intelligence, and future innovation priorities.

Governance, Risk & Compliance Alignment

Ensure that product development and launches adhere to all applicable legal, regulatory, and security standards.

Collaborate closely with compliance, risk, and legal teams to embed governance and risk controls into product processes.

Anticipate and respond to evolving global regulations impacting digital asset products and financial technology innovation.

Represent Poloniex in global dialogues on blockchain standards, digital finance policy, and industry collaboration.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead and mentor global product and strategy teams to achieve excellence in innovation and execution.

Foster strong collaboration between product, data science, engineering, and marketing functions to deliver superior user outcomes.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in product strategy, management, or innovation within cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services sectors.

Proven record of defining and launching global-scale digital products with measurable market impact.

Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems, trading technologies, and emerging digital finance trends.

Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, combined with excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
