About the Role

A next-generation aerospace program developing long-range autonomous aircraft for advanced logistics, intelligence, and mission-critical operations is seeking an AI & Targeting Controls Specialist.

You will build AI-powered perception, tracking, and targeting systems that enable autonomous aerial platforms to detect, classify, track, and act on targets with precision. Your work will directly influence autonomous aircraft performance and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Develop real-time AI/ML models for detection, tracking, and classification (EO/IR, radar, RF, LiDAR).
• Build targeting logic and guidance algorithms for closed-loop control and autonomous decision-making.
• Integrate sensor fusion algorithms for multi-modal perception and situational awareness.
• Collaborate with flight controls, avionics, and autonomy teams to connect targeting logic to aircraft controls.
• Develop SIL/HIL simulations and support ground/flight testing with live data analysis.
• Produce design documents, reports, and validation artifacts for technical and regulatory review.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Robotics, AI/ML, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing AI/ML or autonomy algorithms for real-time systems.
• Proficiency in:
• Python & C++
• TensorFlow / PyTorch / ONNX / OpenCV
• Control theory & closed-loop systems
• Sensor fusion (Kalman filtering, multi-target tracking, SLAM)

Preferred Experience

• UAV / eVTOL / aerospace or defense autonomy systems.
• EO/IR sensor integration and real-time tracking systems.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, PX4, Gazebo, or similar simulation tools.
• Working in safety-critical or regulated environments
