Head of WordPress Maintenance & Update Management (m/f/d)

At PR24 GmbH, we manage and maintain a growing number of WordPress and WooCommerce websites for our clients. We’re looking for someone to take ownership of our maintenance and update processes, ensuring everything stays secure, fast, and functional.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all WordPress and WooCommerce maintenance tasks
• Perform and document updates (core, plugins, themes)
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues caused by updates
• Coordinate with our support and development team when needed
• Monitor site performance and implement optimizations (e.g. caching, database cleanup)
• Use and improve our internal tools for maintenance workflows
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for weekend emergency recovery (Fatal Error Recovery, 7 days/week coverage)

Your Profile:

• Solid experience with WordPress and WooCommerce (5+ years preferred)
• Familiarity with popular plugins like Elementor, Formidable Forms, JetEngine, WP Rocket or similar
• Good understanding of PHP, CSS, and optionally JavaScript
• Experience with staging environments, backups, and rollback strategies
• Structured, reliable, and proactive work style
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
