Automation QA Manager

Position Summary:

A leading global mobility solutions provider, specializing in innovative technology solutions to simplify and streamline the relocation process, is seeking a driven QA Automation Manager to join their IT team. As a QA Automation Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing automation testing efforts within the organization. This position requires strong leadership skills and expertise in automation testing frameworks and tools. Experience and Education:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of hands-on testing experience
• 6+ years of Automation testing experience
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams, both onsite and remotely, consisting of 3-5 individuals
• Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
• Experience testing in an open-source LAMP environment
• Experience with scripting languages (i.e., Bash, Powershell, Python, others)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of QA engineers to ensure consistent and efficient QA practices across the organization and its subsidiaries
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the highest level of product quality and reliability
• Design and develop comprehensive functional test cases and test artifacts
• Execute both manual test cases and automated test scripts for functional, system, and regression testing
• Identify and report software quality issues, tracking them to resolution
• Evaluate and test software using a combination of automation and manual testing techniques to ensure functionality and performance align with specifications and requirements
• Provide hands-on guidance and support in testing efforts, including test case creation, execution, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans
• Improve test accuracy while supporting and improving code release, to ultimately advance code quality
• Create, revise and approve testing plans
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the QA team, fostering their professional growth and development through regular performance feedback, training, and career development opportunities
• Document workflow and work procedures
• Attend scrums meetings and sprint planning / backlog reviews, communicating project/testing status to internal and external teams in a timely manner
• Act as SME and mentor other team members
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software testing and quality assurance, and assess their applicability to the organization
