- Provide executive-level project management across a diverse portfolio of complex building code and zoning projects
- Coordinate directly with clients, architects, engineers, and the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) to secure timely approvals and resolve issues
- Review and sign off on plans to ensure strict compliance with NYC building codes and zoning regulations
- Lead research and retrieval of critical records from multiple NYC agencies to support project objectives
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in building code, zoning, construction management, or a related field
- Required Certification: Active Class 2 DOB Filing Representative ID (Code & Zoning Representative) issued by the New York City Department of Buildings
- Proven record of leading large, complex projects and teams to successful completion
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
- High proficiency with Windows applications, Bluebeam, MS Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and Word
- Management experience strongly preferred; experience mentoring or supervising staff is a plus
- Familiarity with DOBNOW and deep knowledge of NYC building codes and expediting processes
- Potential management of a dedicated project team, including conducting performance reviews, handling disciplinary actions, and overseeing interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding processes
