Infrastructure Engineer

We’re looking for an AWS Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and support of Red Hat OpenShift clusters on user-provisioned infrastructure (UPI) within AWS for our client’s enterprise cloud platform.

In this fully remote role (client based in New Orleans, LA), you’ll architect and manage secure, highly available, and compliant cloud infrastructure that supports mission-critical applications in the electric utility sector.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect, install, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters on AWS UPI.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation and secure deployments.
• Ensure compliance with NERC CIP, FISMA, and corporate cybersecurity policies.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Integrate AWS services (ECR, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager) for observability and scalability.
• Drive automation, reliability, and cost optimization across environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and document infrastructure best practices.

What You Bring:

• 4+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure, DevOps, or platform operations.
• Hands-on expertise with OpenShift on AWS (UPI) and Kubernetes.
• Strong background in CI/CD, Linux administration, and scripting (Python/Bash/Go).
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and security architecture.
• Experience with regulated or critical infrastructure environments a plus.
