Principal / Senior Software Engineer in Test role!

Position: Brand New role - 12 months contract in Galway - hybrid working policy - only considering candidates within commutable distance.

Technologies: Selenium, Cucumber, Java (need to be good with Java), Springboot.

Ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge on a number of testing skills, be detail oriented and will work closely with the development team. As a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) you will be applying your strong software development and test skills to develop test automation to improve software delivery. You will be working with a complex solution. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve customer-facing software solutions. You will also be enabling your team in adopting test automation frameworks and best practices to ensure we are building the right product the right way.

Skills:

* Experience (8 years plus) with test automation tools and frameworks at least one leading industry tool such as Selenium, Cucumber, Java (need to be good with Java), Springboot
* Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools
* Experience with agile methodology in a distributed team setting
* Experience designing and building applications and using test automation frameworks;
* AWS & Angular is a plus but not essential.
* Extensive experience working with Java and its ecosystem;
* Ability to contribute to the QA automation strategy for our applications, and oversee QA best practices
* Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins
* Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub
* Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud deployment/application management is a plus
* Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment strongly desired;
