Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled L1/L2 VMWare Support Engineer with Russian language proficiency to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our Kazakhstan location, making it ideal for experienced professionals looking to advance their career in enterprise virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• VMware Stack Expertise: Provide advanced troubleshooting for escalated VMware stack issues including vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and related technologies
• Complex Issue Resolution: Conduct detailed analysis of complex issues related to vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and other VMware products
• Configuration Analysis: Perform in-depth examination of configuration and deployment problems
• Root Cause Analysis: Execute comprehensive root cause analysis for recurring or critical infrastructure issues

VMware Configuration & Optimization

• Advanced Configuration: Provide support with advanced configuration settings and optimization for performance and scalability
• Best Practices Implementation: Offer guidance on best practices for deploying and managing VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) environments
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation and how-to guides for advanced configurations and troubleshooting procedures

Operational Excellence

• Incident Management: Handle incident and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reporting with strict SLA compliance
• Vendor Relations: Manage GSS (Global Support Services) and TAC (Technical Assistance Center) case handling
• Proactive Monitoring: Implement proactive health monitoring, patch management, and firmware coordination
• Infrastructure Lifecycle: Support complete infrastructure lifecycle including VM provisioning, migrations, and decommissioning

Security & Compliance

• Security Hardening: Implement and maintain security hardening procedures
• Disaster Recovery: Conduct DR (Disaster Recovery) testing and validation
• Backup Management: Perform backup validation and ensure data integrity
• Documentation Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance records

Automation & Efficiency

• PowerCLI/PowerShell: Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerCLI and PowerShell for repeated infrastructure operations
• SOP Development: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for common tasks
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements

Required Qualifications

• Language: Fluent Russian speaking ability (mandatory requirement)
• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in PowerCLI and PowerShell scripting
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Certifications: VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or higher) preferred
