Freelance Frontend Developer (React / TypeScript / Next.js)

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Front-end Developer with strong experience in React, TypeScript, and Next.js to help bring an ambitious product to life. You will work closely with our backend developer and UI/UX designer to transform high-quality Figma designs into a modern, responsive, and scalable web application hosted on Azure.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working on data-rich dashboards, interactive reports, and clean, maintainable code that aligns with best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces based on Figma designs.
• Build reusable React components using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui.
• Integrate securely with RESTful APIs (FastAPI backend).
• Manage state efficiently using TanStack Query (React Query) and Context or Zustand.
• Handle file uploads, loading states, and long-running job feedback (polling or sockets).
• Apply clean architecture principles and maintain high code quality.
• Work collaboratively using Git, Jira, and version-controlled workflows.
• Write readable, type-safe code with TypeScript, adhering to established patterns.
• Participate in regular stand-ups, reviews, and discussions with the team.
• Troubleshoot UI performance, accessibility, and cross-browser issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Strong knowledge of:
• React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+)
• HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
• Git (branching, PRs, code reviews)
• RESTful API integration
• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with:
• Software architectures and design patterns (component-based, modular)
• Frontend testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright)
• Project management tools (Jira, GitHub Projects)
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TanStack Query, Zod, or React Hook Form.
• Experience building or maintaining dashboards or admin panels.
• Knowledge of Azure Static Web Apps, CI/CD pipelines, or containerised environments.
• Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) and UI/UX best practices.
• Prior work on SaaS or AI-related applications.
