Automation Tester

Position Title: Automation Tester

Location: Remote – Eastern Time Zone (Richmond, VA preferred)

Clearance Requirements: Must have or be eligible for USPS Public Trust

Position Status: Long-Term Contract

Position Description: Seneca Resources is seeking two Automation Testers to support a long-term government IT modernization initiative. This fully remote role (operating on EST hours) is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel in developing and executing automated testing frameworks for large-scale, cloud-based applications.

In this position, you will design and implement automated test frameworks, integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure software quality through comprehensive functional, regression, and performance testing. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage, optimize performance, and enhance automation strategies across the project lifecycle.

Required Skills/Education:

• Programming Proficiency: Strong experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript for developing automated test scripts.
• Automation Tools: Hands-on experience using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools for automated testing.
• API Testing: Skilled in using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate API functionality and service responses.
• CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to enable continuous testing.
• Cloud Testing Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience testing in a cloud environment (GCP preferred), including running SQL queries, verifying backend data, and navigating cloud storage objects.
• Performance and Security Testing: Familiarity with automated performance and security testing methodologies.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with clear, collaborative communication across teams.
• AI Testing (Nice to Have): Understanding of AI/ML testing frameworks for advanced automation scenarios.
