Python-Based DevSecOps / Security Integrations Engineer (Fully Remote)

We’re looking for a part-time, fully remote Python-based DevSecOps / Security Integrations Engineer to help close technical gaps in our FortiGate connector and DevSecOps pipeline. You’ll contribute to developing a production-ready, vendor-agnostic plug-in with robust CI/CD, testing, and ECS mapping quality.

• Develop and refine FortiGate and other security connector plug-ins in Python
• Implement and validate ECS mapping YAMLs and schema validators
• Create and maintain golden tests, fixtures, and CI pipelines
• Generate performance benchmarks (e.g., 50K EPS with latency summaries)
• Ensure metrics labeling, DLQ handling, and packaging artifacts meet production standards
• Write developer documentation and reusable templates

• Strong Python coding experience
• Familiarity with DevSecOps workflows and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Understanding of log ingestion (Syslog, JSON, CEF) and SIEM schema mapping (ECS, Splunk, Elastic)
• Experience with data validation, metrics, and connector packaging
• Ability to work independently on part-time sprint deliverables

• Experience with FortiGate, Palo Alto, or other firewall vendors
• Background in Security Data Engineering or Observability pipelines
• Hands-on knowledge of Python packaging, YAML, and test automation

• Type: Part-time, Contract-based (Sprints 2–7)
• Location: 100% Remote
