Frontend Developer

AppUp Labs is a mobile app development company specializing in building custom iOS, Android, and cross-platform applications for startups and growing businesses. We work with clients primarily in the US, UK, and European markets, creating beautiful and functional mobile experiences.

We're a small team (9 people) focused on doing great work without the corporate complexity. We're expanding our development team and looking for a skilled Frontend Developer who can build web dashboards, landing pages, and admin panels that complement our mobile apps.

We're looking for a Frontend Developer who's proficient in React.js and Next.js to build web applications that work seamlessly with our mobile products. You'll be responsible for creating responsive, performant, and user-friendly web interfaces.

Location: Remote (India)

Work Type: Full-Time

Development & Delivery:

• Build web applications using React.js and Next.js from scratch
• Develop admin dashboards and CMS interfaces for mobile app clients
• Create landing pages and marketing websites for mobile apps
• Implement responsive designs that work across all devices
• Integrate RESTful APIs and handle state management
• Collaborate with backend developers and designers
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Your Typical Projects:

• Admin panels for mobile app management (user management, analytics dashboards, content management)
• Landing pages and websites for app marketing
• Web portals that complement mobile apps
• Internal tools and automation dashboards
• Client-facing web applications

Types of Industries:

• FinTech, HealthTech, E-commerce, and SaaS companies
• Startups needing MVP web applications (4-8 week projects)
• Established companies modernizing their web stack

Must-Haves:

• Experience with React.js in production environments
• Experience with Next.js (App Router or Pages Router)
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
• Responsive design implementation (CSS, Tailwind CSS, or similar)
• API integration experience (REST APIs, handling async operations)
• State management knowledge (Context API, Redux, Zustand, or similar)
• Git proficiency - comfortable with version control workflows
• Problem-solving skills - you can debug and find solutions independently
• Communication skills - you can explain technical decisions clearly
• Self-motivated - comfortable working remotely and managing your time

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with TypeScript in production
• Knowledge of Next.js advanced features (SSR, SSG, API routes, middleware)
• Familiarity with UI component libraries (shadcn/ui, Radix UI, Chakra UI)
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques
• Experience with deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, AWS)
• Knowledge of backend basics (Node.js, databases)
• Previous experience working with international clients

• Next.js Knowledge: Understanding of SSR/SSG, routing, API routes
• Styling: Modern CSS practices, responsive design implementation
• Problem-Solving: How you approach and solve technical challenges
• Documentation: README files, code comments, clear explanations
