SecOps/DevSecOPs Analyst 100% Remote Comntract to Permanent Job $50/hr W2

We have a position open that are 6-12 month contract to hire for DevSecOps Analyst.

• The DevSecOps Analysts will support the development and implementation of a comprehensive SecOps Framework. These roles are ideal for candidates with (2–3 years of experience) working with DevSecOps practices and vulnerability scanning tools. You will work closely with application teams and cloud team to integrate proactive security measures into the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Security Framework Support:

• Assist in enhancing and maintaining security frameworks, controls, and guardrails within vulnerability scanning tools.
• Help define and enforce best practices and guidelines for the SecOps and Secure by Design frameworks.

Vulnerability Analysis & Remediation:

• Review vulnerability findings from scanning tools and collaborate with application teams to determine effective remediation strategies.
• Participate in code and configuration reviews to detect potential security threats.

Pipeline Integration & Automation:

• Contribute to automating SecOps processes and integrating security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Work on embedding penetration testing practices into deployment processes to proactively identify risks.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Engage in daily standups, status updates, pair programming, and sprint planning sessions as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Coordinate with Centene architects and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with security standards and project objectives.

Training & Documentation:

• Support training sessions to educate application teams on cyber threats, safe practices, and the importance of the SecOps framework.
• Develop and maintain documentation and scripts to support security initiatives and promote continuous process improvement.

Experience:

• 2–3 years of experience in a security operations role with hands-on experience in SecDevOps environments.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and integrating security practices within CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Skills:

• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Understanding of security frameworks, threat remediation, and best practices in application security.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
