Join a forward-thinking cybersecurity team as a Sr. SOC Security Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in strengthening security operations and defending against advanced threats. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll design and optimize monitoring systems, lead incident response efforts, and mentor junior SOC analysts and engineers.

About the Role

As a senior member of the Security Operations Center, you’ll lead the deployment of SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR technologies while building playbooks, automating detection processes, and driving continuous improvement in threat response. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert on emerging threats and cloud security while guiding the team to maintain a strong security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SOC security monitoring infrastructure (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls)
• Lead incident response: develop playbooks, analyze events, and coordinate remediation
• Perform advanced threat detection and correlation across network, endpoint, and application data
• Mentor junior SOC analysts and engineers, providing technical guidance and training
• Automate security processes (Python, PowerShell) for detection and response workflows
• Monitor and secure workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments
• Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies to strengthen defense capabilities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, focused on SOC engineering and incident response
• Expertise in SIEM (Sumo Logic preferred), EDR tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls
• Strong experience in threat intelligence, log analysis, and threat hunting
• Familiarity with security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
• Cloud security monitoring experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell)

Preferred Skills

• Malware analysis, reverse engineering, and digital forensics
• Advanced log/network traffic analysis to detect anomalies and trends
• Certifications: CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC (preferred)
