Note:

·      This is an onsite position based in either Orlando or Boca Raton, FL. We welcome applications from candidates across the U.S., however, relocation to Florida is required prior to the start of employment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our tolling software applications. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of software testing principles and, critically, direct experience with tolling systems, processes, and business logic. You will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and verifying that our systems meet the stringent requirements necessary for accurate toll collection and transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on functional requirements and user stories.
• Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Thoroughly test core tolling functionalities, including:
• Toll transaction processing and calculation accuracy.
• Image-based license plate recognition (ALPR/ANPR) and manual review workflows.
• Integration between roadside toll collection hardware (e.g., gantries, tag readers) and back-office software.
• Billing statement generation, violation processing, and customer account management.
• Payment gateway integrations and reporting.
• Identify, document, and track defects (bugs) with clear and concise steps to reproduce using a tool like Jira.
• Validate fixes from the development team and perform regression testing to ensure no new issues are introduced.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Report on test progress, test results, and key quality metrics to the QA Lead.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Professional experience in a Software QA Tester role.
• Direct, hands-on experience testing tolling systems is REQUIRED.
• Understanding of the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) and standard QA methodologies.
• Proven experience in writing and executing clear and comprehensive test cases.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and test data setup.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of the SunPass, E-PASS, E-ZPass, or other regional tolling systems is a significant plus.
