Backend Java Engineer

Location: Munich. Hybrid, on-site

Permanent contract.

Our client is a big (2k employees; offices in all major cities in Germany) company with several digital products and services on the market that make easier daily life of their customers. The firm is growing rapidly improving its services to the customers. The company keeps the atmosphere of a small dynamic startup having the resources of a big corporation. Most of the technical decisions happen within a team.

What you bring:

• Very good knowledge of Java, Spring and Microservices with REST APIs

• Good handling of SQL and databases (Oracle/MySQL)

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, DevOps, Continuous Delivery and Clean Code is an advantage

• Hands-on mentality and implementation strength, willingness and enthusiasm to also develop code yourself, especially in the start-up phase of the team

• Readiness for continuous further training

• Very good written and spoken English skills make you the “perfect fit!”

Your tasks include:

• You will build a digital, innovative bank center from scratch
• You plan and develop microservices for dynamic web applications
• You work in a cross-functional Scrum Team and take responsibility for the entire application life cycle
• Help to build the platform architecture
• Cooperate and interact with the product management
