Job Description
Juno is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the strategic direction, governance, and security of our IT environment. This role will assess current systems, tools, and processes, then design a future-state roadmap that aligns with organizational goals. The IT Manager will partner with leadership, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. This is a fully remote, contract to hire position with a younger, fast-growing life sciences company that partners closely with leading pharmaceutical organizations. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical capability with people leadership and strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy & Strategy Leadership – Define and enforce IT policies, standards, and security strategies across cloud, identity, and endpoint environments.
- Technology Assessment – Evaluate and optimize solutions such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Defender, Purview, and IAM platforms.
- Hardware / Software / Co-Pilot Management – Oversee company-wide hardware and software environments, ensuring employees have the right tools, licenses, and secure access to Microsoft Co-Pilot and related productivity platforms.
- IT Support & Operations – Provide leadership and oversight for day-to-day IT support functions, ensuring timely resolution of end-user issues, smooth onboarding/offboarding, and continuous system availability.
- Remote Connectivity & Data Security – Maintain strong connections for distributed teams through reliable remote access, VPN, and collaboration tools while safeguarding data integrity and enforcing security protocols.
- Governance & Compliance – Maintain compliance with GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, and other standards; enforce a Zero Trust security framework.
- Vendor & Tool Management – Manage vendor relationships to ensure solutions are secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs.
- Team Development – Lead and mentor IT staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Project Oversight – Drive key initiatives including cloud migrations, identity modernization, and endpoint standardization.
- Business Partnership – Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, aligning IT investments with organizational priorities.
- Innovation & Roadmapping – Track emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML in security and analytics) and build a roadmap for adoption where they add measurable value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7–10+ years in IT leadership roles with strong Microsoft 365 and Azure experience.
- Proven expertise in IT support operations, remote team enablement, and data security.
- In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP.
