About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and manage cloud-native data workflows and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, PySpark, and ETL automation using AWS services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability, scalability, and performance across our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines using AWS Redshift, Glue, and Athena.
- Develop and optimize SQL, Python, and PySpark scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Build and manage data models ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Orchestrate workflow deployments using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
- Manage and automate CI/CD pipelines via GitHub to streamline data operations.
- Ensure secure data migration and maintain best practices for data governance and quality.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Proven expertise in AWS data ecosystem — Glue, Redshift, EC2, S3, Athena.
- Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark for data transformation and automation.
- Proficiency in ETL development, data quality analysis, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and deploying through GitHub or similar tools.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of AWS Step Functions, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with data observability and monitoring frameworks.
- Exposure to containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
