Job Description

Cloud Architect wanted by ZapLabs, Madison, NJ

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to rollout hundreds of ‘build and deploy’ pipelines standards. Establish continuous delivery pipeline to fully automate deployment of highly available, mission critical cloud platform;
  • Design and develop tools to onboard users from multiple business units using single click approach standards. Help resolve issues in production, test, and dev environments. Help build a modern infrastructure for building, deploying, and monitoring high-volume consumer-facing web applications, along with internal tools and systems;
  • Transition a large portion of the Company’s infrastructure to AWS, helping Company move to a container-based service architecture. Design and develop tools to manage and provision VPC, network ACL, security groups standards;
  • Design and develop tools to analyze cloud cost and develop architecture pattern to reduce AWS Cost standards. Lead and collaborate with our other engineers on software and system optimizations, to identify and remove performance bottlenecks;
  • Understand Cloud Security for access identify management to security groups standards. Design and develop tools to manage Security Policies, Provisioning, AWS Roles, ACL policies standards;
  • Design and develop tools to monitor AWS cloud resources and cleanup cloud resources standards;
  • Design and develop tools to integrate AWS cloud with third-party tools such Snowflake, MongoDB, New Relic, Data Dogs across multiple business units standards;
  • Create scripts and templates to build, monitor, and tune cloud-based environments;
  • Research and develop solutions for infrastructure monitoring and alarming in AWS Cloud standards; and
  • Work on tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Management or related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Experience must include:
  • 3 years of programming experience with building application frameworks and back-end systems for high-volume pipelines using Go, Java or Python;
  • 2 years of experience using AWS Data Services including any combination of DMS, EMR, Glue, Athena, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS, S3, CloudFormation, Parameter Store, or DynamoDB;
  • 2 years of experience with DevOps tools including any combination of GitHub, TravisCI, or Jira and methodologies including any combination of Lean, Agile, Scrum, or Test Driven Development;
  • 1 year experience with Okta identity providers;
  • 1 year experience with Kubernetes and Docker; and
  • 1 year experience with CI/CD tools including any combination of Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.

JOB LOCATION: Company's HQ in Madison, NJ. May also WFH located anywhere within the U.S.

Compensation Range

$143,000 - $200,000 per year. At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
