🚀 Founding Engineer – AI Coding Platform (On-Site, San Francisco)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Commitment: Full-time, 6 days per week, On-site

Salary: $200,000 – $300,000 + Equity (1–3%)

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI startup building next-generation coding intelligence tools used by engineers worldwide. Their platform processes billions of tokens per day, powering advanced developer assistants that help automate and accelerate software engineering.

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll join a small, exceptionally talented team tackling some of the hardest problems in AI and code automation. This is an opportunity to build at the frontier — working directly on multi-agent systems, large-scale inference infrastructure, and runtime optimizations.

What You’ll Do

• Design and iterate on agentic evaluation systems and multi-agent strategies for solving complex coding tasks across large codebases.
• Manage and optimize compute infrastructure (e.g., H100 clusters), implementing runtime improvements such as speculative decoding and KV-cache tuning.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, gather feedback, and ship improvements rapidly with minimal oversight.
• Play a core role in shaping technical strategy and product direction as an early founding member.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven track record of building and shipping complex engineering projects quickly and independently.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering (B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Kotlin or Android engineering is a plus, but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and the drive to work hard on ambitious challenges.
• Willingness to commit to an intense, hands-on environment — this role demands focus, speed, and passion.
