Metronome is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support Platform One’s Iron Bank — the DoD’s hardened container registry and software factory. This role focuses on building, automating, and securing infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments deployed to IL5/IL6 cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and containerized application security within secure Government environments.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Lead deployment and automation of Kubernetes clusters across IL5/IL6 (AWS GovCloud, on-prem, and hybrid).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Build and maintain secure containerized workloads using Docker, Kustomize, and Helm.
• Troubleshoot and optimize microservices and platform performance within Kubernetes environments.
• Integrate SAST/DAST tools and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines.
• Serve as a senior technical lead, mentoring junior engineers and promoting DevSecOps best practices.
  

• 7–10 years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
• Terraform for IaC automation
• GitLab CI/CD (Python and Bash scripting)
• AWS (GovCloud preferred)
• Experience troubleshooting production microservices.
• Deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (minimum).
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP).
  

• Experience supporting Platform One or Iron Bank programs.
• Hands-on with IL6 environments.
• Familiarity with Istio or other service meshes.
• Experience building Grafana dashboards and automated alerting systems.
