Automation Engineer

We’re hiring Automation Engineers — Part-time | Fully Remote at Dessina.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define clear test strategies.

- Develop detailed test plans and test cases aligned to specifications.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cases, scenarios, and results.

- Execute manual tests to validate functionality and quality standards.

- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing across web and API.

- Build and maintain automated test frameworks (Selenium, Playwright or equivalent).

- Cover functional and non-functional testing: performance, reliability, scalability, security.

- Validate features, UX flows, and interfaces against requirements.

- Analyze and report results, identify defects and improvements, and track to closure.

- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues in test/staging environments.

- Integrate automated suites into CI/CD (Azure DevOps or similar) with quality gates.

Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on QA automation with Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.

- Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks and contributing to end-to-end QE strategy.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with a root-cause mindset.

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions).

- Solid understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and comfort in fast-paced environments.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence through expertise.

- Nice to have: exposure to AI-driven testing tools and AI-based automation frameworks.
