Industrial Engineer (Remote)

Role : AI Tutor – Industrial and Systems Engineering Specialist (Remote or On-site, Palo Alto, CA)

We are hiring for one of our prime clients, a leading AI research organization, seeking experienced professionals in Industrial and Systems Engineering to train and refine AI models capable of understanding, analyzing, and optimizing complex systems and workflows.

This full-time opportunity is ideal for engineers and researchers who are passionate about AI-driven engineering innovation and have the expertise to provide high-quality inputs, annotations, and feedback that improve AI reasoning and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Use proprietary tools to label, annotate, and evaluate data in industrial and systems engineering domains.
• Curate high-quality, structured datasets to support AI model training initiatives.
• Collaborate with research teams to refine annotation workflows and improve efficiency.
• Analyze complex engineering problems and assess AI-generated solutions for technical accuracy.
• Interpret evolving task instructions with precision and apply professional judgment in ambiguous scenarios.

Ideal Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in professional and informal English.
• Expertise in research, data analysis, and using engineering databases or online resources.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Passion for technological progress and AI applications in engineering.

Preferred Background

• PhD in Industrial or Systems Engineering with hands-on professional experience.
• Research publications in reputable engineering journals.
• Teaching or tutoring experience in engineering, systems optimization, or applied sciences.
• Prior involvement in AI data training, technical writing, or industrial research.
• Experience with complex, real-world engineering systems and workflows.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Location: Palo Alto, CA (on-site, five days/week) or fully remote with strong self-management.
• Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM PST for initial training, then aligned to local timezone.
• Technical Requirements: Chromebook, macOS 11+, or Windows 10+ device and reliable smartphone access.
• Eligibility: U.S. applicants must reside outside Wyoming and Illinois.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range (U.S.): $90,000 – $200,000 annually (based on experience and location).
