About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in media and broadcast workflows to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting, automating, and operating the cloud-native infrastructure that supports live and on-demand content creation, editing, and delivery processes. Your expertise in Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) will be instrumental in ensuring our media workflows are secure, observable, and resilient. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to modernize content creator workflows, optimize deployment pipelines, and ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality content to audiences around the globe. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical backbone of a leading entertainment company, leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and automation practices to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines, with at least 3 years designing cloud-native architectures at an enterprise scale.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container ecosystems in production environments.
• At least 3 years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code/Configuration Management tools such as Crossplane, Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Proficiency in automation scripting languages including Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of AWS core services including EC2, S3, Route 53, IAM, and VPC, along with networking fundamentals.
• Solid Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to create technical documentation and communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• Experience with Go development, especially in building Kubernetes operators or Crossplane providers, is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Advanced knowledge of observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Loki, or ELK stack.
• Proven ability to design robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar systems.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and DevOps best practices.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines for container images, IaC modules, and application releases using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Create automation utilities in languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual toil.
• Architect and implement hybrid and cloud-based infrastructure primarily on AWS, utilizing Crossplane, Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, or on-premises) that run microservices, playout pipelines, and control-plane tooling.
• Develop modular and reusable Infrastructure-as-Code patterns to meet scalability, performance, and reliability objectives.
• Define SLO/SLA objectives, instrument applications and infrastructure, and establish proactive alerting using Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK.
• Implement auto-healing and run-book automation to maximize system uptime and resilience.
• Embed security best practices such as zero-trust networking, least-privilege IAM policies, secrets management, and policy-as-code into infrastructure layers.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to translate workflow requirements into resilient infrastructure solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and promote continuous improvement in DevOps practices and tools.
