Scooter Your Way is currently in the development and pre-funding stage, focused on building our platform, website, mobile app, and digital membership experience.

This is a part-time, founding team position that begins as an equity/deferred-compensation role and transitions into a paid full-time position once funding is fully secured.

At this stage:

• Team members contribute approximately 10 hours per week (about 40 hours per month) during the pre-funding phase.

• All hours will be logged and fully back-paid once external funding is secured.

• Once funding is secured, the role transitions to a part-time paid position at $25,000 per year, with benefits added after one year of employment and opportunities to advance to full-time as the company grows.

💻 The Role:

Website & App Builder / Digital Membership Developer

We’re seeking a versatile Web & App Developer to lead the design and development of our Wix Studio website, digital membership system, and early-stage app integration.

This person will build out our digital membership platform that connects seamlessly with Apple Pay Wallet and Google Pay Wallet, allowing members to save their digital membership directly on their phones for instant access to scooters — no physical cards required.

You’ll work closely with the Founder & CEO and other early team members to create a beautiful, high-performing web and app experience that brings our scooter-sharing vision to life.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the Scooter Your Way website using Wix Studio (or a comparable platform) with modern animation and interactivity.

• Develop an integrated customer portal for sign-up, payment, and digital membership management.

• Create a digital membership card that users can add to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for tap-to-ride access.

• Integrate secure payment systems so users can pay:

• A $25/month digital membership, and

• Per-minute or per-day scooter use.

• Ensure full mobile optimization, UX consistency, and performance across all platforms.

• Collaborate on the early stages of our mobile app design and digital wallet functionality.

• Maintain organized logs of hours and project updates for backpay and funding tracking.

🧠 Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re a hands-on builder who loves creating beautiful, functional digital experiences from the ground up. You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats and thrive in an early-stage environment.

You should have:

• 3+ years of experience in web and/or app development (frontend, full-stack, or no-code).

• Expertise in Wix Studio, Webflow, WordPress, or React-based platforms.

• Experience integrating digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) or membership card systems.

• Strong UI/UX design background with Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools.

• Understanding of payment gateways, subscriptions, and user authentication.

• A startup mindset — creative, reliable, adaptable, and collaborative.

💼 Compensation, Hours & Growth

• Hours: ~10 hours per week (40 hours per month).

• Compensation:

• Pre-funding: Hours logged and fully back-paid once funding is secured.

• Post-funding: $25,000/year part-time salary (with benefits after one year).

• Growth Opportunity: Potential to advance to full-time role ($50,000–$100,000/year) as the company scales and additional funding is secured.

• Location: 100% remote — open to global candidates.
