About the Role

We’re seeking an AWS Network Engineer who specializes in cloud networking, firewalls, and security architecture. This expert will play a key role in designing and implementing secure, high-performing network infrastructures within AWS environments, supporting enterprise-scale workloads and cloud applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain secure AWS network topologies, including VPC design, routing, and connectivity to on-prem or multi-cloud environments.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on AWS firewall and security configurations, including AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, NACLs, and Transit Gateway security policies.
• Develop and enforce network security standards, automation, and compliance frameworks across cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient network design.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise and performance optimization for complex AWS network environments.
• Produce documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams to support ongoing operations and governance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud or network engineering, with a strong focus on AWS networking and security.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS Firewall Manager, AWS Network Firewall, and related security services.
• Strong understanding of VPC design, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with IAM, security best practices, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and network automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• AWS certifications, particularly around networking or security.
• Experience integrating third-party firewalls or security appliances within AWS.
• Multi-cloud exposure (Azure, GCP, OCI) is a plus.
