ROLE DESCRIPTION

Access Global Group is adding an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and generative AI solutions across underwriting, risk management, and customer operations. The role partners with business stakeholders, leads AI experimentation from proof-of-concept to production, and collaborates with offshore teams while ensuring compliance, model governance, and secure integration with business systems. Expertise in Python, Vertex AI, LangChain, Google Agent Development Kit, and end-to-end AI solution delivery is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities in underwriting, risk management, and customer operations.
• Lead AI experimentation from proof-of-concept to production, ensuring measurable value.
• Design and develop scalable AI solutions using Vertex AI, LangChain, Google Agent Development Kit, and Python microservices.
• Coordinate with offshore AI engineering teams as the onshore technical lead.
• Translate business problems into AI engineering tasks, ensuring compliance with security and standards.
• Work with data teams to ensure model-ready data pipelines and metadata governance.
• Guide teams on responsible AI, model explainability, and generative AI practices.
• Implement prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent pipelines for insurance use cases.
• Fine-tune language models with enterprise data and integrate outputs securely with business systems.
• Build APIs and optimize inference workflows in cloud-native environments.
• Collaborate with MLOps engineers to automate deployment, evaluation, and lifecycle management of AI models.
• Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Other duties as requested by leadership

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing applied AI/ML systems, with at least 1 year focused on Generative AI or LLM solutions.
• Proficiency in Generative AI, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, LangChain, and Google Agent Development Kit.
• Familiarity with AI governance and risk management frameworks, especially in regulated sectors (insurance, financial services).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud services: Vertex AI, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Pub/Sub, IAM.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Google Cloud tools.
• Proven experience collaborating with offshore teams in agile environments.
• Experience designing end-to-end Gen AI solutions.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance, risk, and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate business and technical concepts of AI technologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning.
