Vice President of Product – MDR / Detection & Response | GTM Startup Experience
Location: Anywhere in the United States | Remote
Our client, a fast-growing cybersecurity startup in the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) space, is seeking a Vice President of Product to lead product vision, strategy, and execution. This is a fully remote role open to U.S.-based candidates.
As VP of Product, you will own the product roadmap, execution, and lifecycle management across a portfolio of detection and response solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales to align product strategy with go-to-market (GTM) priorities and customer needs. This is a high-impact leadership position that will shape how the company delivers cutting-edge detection and response capabilities to enterprises worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company’s mission and GTM objectives.
- Lead end-to-end product development from concept to launch, ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Partner with customers, analysts, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and shape the evolution of the MDR platform.
- Drive execution and delivery of high-impact product features focused on detection, response, and threat intelligence outcomes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to enable GTM alignment, positioning, and product adoption.
- Establish data-driven product KPIs and success metrics to guide decision-making and performance tracking.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product organization to support company growth and innovation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with at least 3 years in a senior product leadership role.
- Proven success building and scaling B2B SaaS cybersecurity products, ideally within MDR, detection & response, or threat intelligence domains.
- Strong understanding of GTM strategy, customer feedback loops, and cross-functional alignment between Product and Revenue teams.
- Experience in startup or fast-paced scale-up environments, with a track record of leading through growth and ambiguity.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- U.S.-based, fully remote position.
