Cybersecurity Expert - High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems (m/w/d)

We are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Expert - High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems (m/w/d) for a customer project in the region of Stuttgart.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert – HPC Systems to join our Vehicle HPC and Connectivity team. In this role, you will play a key part in defining and supporting security concepts for the next generation of High-Performance Computing architectures in commercial vehicles.

You will collaborate closely with system architects, software developers, and functional safety experts to design and implement cybersecurity strategies that ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our in-vehicle systems.

🔎Your tasks:

• Develop and support cybersecurity concepts for in-vehicle HPC systems
• Define and manage security requirements for HPC platforms, network communication, and service-based architectures.
• Contribute to system-level design reviews, ensuring robust threat modeling, security controls, and secure communication channels.
• Work on containerized system architectures using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.
• Collaborate with software and network teams on service-based communication technologies, including Ethernet, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and integration with Android Auto or similar infotainment frameworks.

✨Your profile:

• University degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Security or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the administration of HPC systems or other large-scale computing environments ideally within automotive systems
• HPC Architecture Understanding (SoC/MPU/MCU Layers, VIP, containers, hypervisor extensions and mechatronics integration)
• Strong understanding of Linux-based embedded systems, virtualization, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Containerization & Cloud Skills (Docker/Kubernetes/OCI containers, service-based communication (SOME/IP/DDS) and cloud connectivity)
• Knowledge of service-based communication technologies (Ethernet, SOME/IP, Android Auto, MQTT, gRPC, etc.).
• Embedded Software & OS Knowledge (Linux, QNX, Android Automotive OS and real-time systems)
• AUTOSAR Expertise – Classic (CP) and Adaptive (AP), architectures, software components, and service-oriented design
• Fluent English is mandatory; German is a plus.

👁Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in automotive system development or vehicle E/E architectures.
• Background in High-Performance Computing applied to connected vehicles or AI-driven vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with cryptography, secure coding practices, and network security tools.
• Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or ISO/SAE 21434 Practitioner is an advantage.
