QA Analyst

Brooksource is searching for a QA Tester with experinece in Playwright for our Fortune 70 Telecommunications company in the South Charlotte area. This is the ideal opportunity for a professional with 2-4+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing who has an analytical mindset to get their foot in the door and excel within an industry-leading team. As a QA Analyst o­­n this team, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. You will be involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution.

Requirements:

• 2yrs+ of professional manual testing experience
• 1yr+ of professional automation experience with Playwright with Typescript (The reason for this need is that the team is moving over to Playwright and are looking for someone to help guide and teach other members of the team through this transition.)
• Experience with Jira in a testing environment
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Understanding of quality assurance process, tools and methodologies
• Understanding of database schemas and querying tools
• Demonstrated understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to work independently with little direction
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter attitude

Responsibilities:

• Receive stories from Jira and execute moderately complex manual tests according to business needs, documents and communicates results. Collaborates with developers and/or end users to determine appropriate solutions. Retests corrections to ensure problems are solved.
• Test automation with Playwright and typescript
• Tests and analyzes each component/phase of the systems development life cycle including project requirements, design and programs. Develops moderately complex test strategies.
• Executes tests for the UI of customer facing applications.
• Analysis and problem solving- analyze findings and validate test results, pinpoint issues and communicate issues with developers and product owners.
• Quality and integrity - ensure high quality of client products, deliverables, input documents and test results.
• Works independently to execute test scenarios. Has the ability to deal with ambiguity.
• This role is 50% manual testing 50% automated testing
