Freelance DevSecOps Engineer

My client, a Major Ecommerce business are currently seeking 2 DevSecOps Engineers with experience in for a 4 month project, focusing on the development of a brand new function. You would be working in a highly capable product team with a large degree of autonomy.

This role is 100% remote, but candidates need to be based within 1hr of CET (+/-)

For UK based consultants, this role is Outside IR35. Rates – DOE

Required key competencies and qualifications:

At least 5+ years of experience in DevOps and 3+ years of experience in Security focused role

● Strong Experience maintaining Unix/Linux servers.

● Strong Experience running Kubernetes at scale

● Feels proficient with Terraform, and at least one among Go, Python, Javascript.

● Knowledge of security best practices applied to AWS and Kubernetes.

● Know how to use Gitlab in your daily routine.

● Strong Automation skills to streamline workflows.

● Experience with Agile methodology and a proactive approach.

● Strong Experience in Monitoring and Observability of the infrastructure (Datadog preferred) and vulnerabilities discovery and tracking with tools such us Falco, Guardduty

● Strong experience in architectural design for cloud optimized applications

● Fluent in English both spoken and written

● Automate security controls in CI/CD pipelines and implement SAST/DAST for secure development

● Audit and secure Kubernetes and AWS environments, identifying misconfigurations and mitigating security risks

Nice to have: - AWS or K8s certifications
