Ezra is hiring a Founding Engineer to help take the company from early traction to breakout growth.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join as the first engineer – and at the ground level – a company that:

• Has launched product with product-market-fit
• Is consistently told has the best product in the market
• Has paying enterprise and SMB customers

• Has a small founding team, including a CEO (whose first voice AI company was acquired) and a highly experienced sales, product, and marketing leads
• Is going after a massive TAM

The Role:

You’ll partner directly with the CEO to own the architecture, engineering strategy, and technical execution across the entire product. You’ll work across the stack – from real-time voice AI systems to intuitive front-end interfaces – and help lay the foundation for the team, codebase, and culture as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engineering end-to-end (backend, frontend, infra, and DevOps)
• Prototype and integrate voice AI pipelines
• Make foundational decisions about architecture, infrastructure, and tooling.
• Collaborate with the CEO to shape product roadmap and execution.
• Build toward a system that supports high-volume hiring and tight feedback loops.
• Establish engineering practices (testing, monitoring, CI/CD, etc.) from the ground up.
• Help hire, onboard, and mentor the early engineering team.

What We’re Looking For

• You have 8+ years of experience building production systems
• You care deeply not just about good code, but you also obsess about product quality and customer feedback
• You are fluent in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Python.
• You've shipped and scaled real products, ideally at fast-moving startups.
• You’re excited about AI and voice interfaces, and have worked with LLMs or similar tools.
• You’re scrappy, self-directed, and love working across product and engineering.
• You thrive in ambiguity and know how to balance shipping fast with technical debt.
