UX Product Designer – Retail Checkout Experiences (Remote)
Oxford Solutions is seeking a Product Designer to support our retail brand client. This is a remote role, but candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to conduct frequent, in store research at retail sites.
In this role, you’ll design and refine digital and physical checkout experiences that shape how customers and employees interact at the point of sale. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to create seamless, intuitive experiences and bring new ideas to life through testing, feedback, and iteration.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end checkout experiences across digital and in-store touchpoints
- Conduct field research and in-store testing to validate concepts and identify opportunities
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to implement assisted checkout flows
- Translate research findings into actionable design solutions and improvements
- Contribute to and expand the existing design system and pattern library
- Manage multiple priorities including digital optimization, in-store workflows, and long-term strategy initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading user research and field testing in retail or similar environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and disciplines
- Proficiency with Figma, including component libraries, auto layout, and design tokens
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, make trade-offs, and deliver high-quality design outcomes
- Experience designing for retail operations or employee-facing systems a plus
