We are searching for a Database Analyst to join our team. As our ideal Database Analyst, we are looking for someone ready to bring their troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to the forefront.

The Database Analyst is responsible for both Oracle and SQL Server/Azure SQL database activities both on-premises and in a Cloud environment of which include performance, configuration management, integrity, and security.

• Oracle Database (design, development, administration, tuning, SE2/statspack)
• SQL Server (backup/restore, performance tuning, environment management)
• Database security, scripting, and automation
• SQL proficiency
• Cloud: Azure & AWS
• OS: Unix, Solaris, Linux, Windows
• Knowledge of database licensing (Oracle & SQL Server)
• System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Trace file analysis & live monitoring
• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
• Continuous learning on database technologies and trends

Responsibilities:

• Analyze Oracle and SQL Server databases to diagnose performance issues
• Analyze AWR, ASH, SQL Plan Monitor, and Oracle trace files, and determine the root cause and provide a resolution
• DBA support for Oracle databases – both on-prem and cloud
• SQL Server Query Store proficiency
• Establish and enforce regular Database maintenance practices
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize SQL queries/views and PL/SQL programs;
• Comfortable with analyzing query explain plans and recommending performance improvements.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support of database schemas and views
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues
• Provide extensive support for performance tuning and monitoring various databases. Support various business and application teams for database performance tuning related to business requirements.
• Develop best performance analysis practices and enforce these standards across the team
