@gempa.dunia is a non-profit media focusing in educating the general public as well as reporting earthquakes and tsunamis from all over the world in Bahasa Indonesia, using Instagram as main media. In addition to several publications such as Skenario Gempa Dunia, Ulas Sejarah Gempabumi, and Gempa Terkini, @gempa.dunia also released 2 WebGIS for earthquake catalog information in the form of the Katalog ShakeMap Gempa Indonesia (KSGI) and the Peta Sesar Aktif Indonesia (PSAI). These two webGIS can be visited at: PSAI - gempadunia.github.io/psai KSGI - gempadunia.github.io/ksgi In 2021, @gempa.dunia has developed further with the establishment of @sesar.indonesia as part of expanding public education on active tectonic faults in Indonesia. In 2022, @gempa.dunia for the first time managed to create a shakemap for earthquake scenarios as well as shakemap for historical earthquakes. Today, @gempa.dunia has thousands of followers from 3 platforms spread across Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter). The development will not stop here. The ultimate goal of this media is clear: to educate the public, create a community that is aware of earthquakes and the geological phenomena behind it, and form a society with strong disaster mitigation.
