Konny by Erin

Konny was founded in 2017 by Erin Lim (CEO) and her husband. The couple did not initially set out to create a business. Just a month after having her first child, Erin was diagnosed with a reherniation of a cervical bulging disk that caused indescribable pain that made it all but impossible to carry her son. In an effort to ease the pain, she tried out no less than ten different types of baby carriers on the market before quickly realizing that there was not a single product that allowed her to carry her son for long periods comfortably and without pain. As she lamented the fact that she could not find a single carrier that she loved, her husband challenged her, “Why don't you try making one yourself? The one you’d love. If you love it, others will too.” Never one to back down from a challenge, Erin took her husband’s question to heart and that is how Konny was born. As of 2024, our team of 57 dedicated and talented full-time employees, 54 of whom are women and 40 working-from-home mothers, collaborate remotely from around the world. Konny proudly defies traditional South Korean corporate norms, showcasing the value of a predominantly female workforce. Our brand values stem from the belief that there is always room for new and undiscovered options. By developing a baby carrier that caters to the needs of those experiencing pain, and empowering our employees to balance their personal and professional lives, Konny exemplifies the power of innovation and inclusion in the global marketplace.
