RBI is fostering its Business for the next generation in Information & Cyber Security.

As crucial part of the Group Raiffeisen Bank International Cyber Defense Center department this function develops detection and prevention mechanism to foster our digitalization journey and the business confidence of our customers.

In this position you will be member of the CDC team. This includes providing effective security monitoring through triage, investigation, communication and reporting.

The main focus of this role is on the network security engineering side to protect RBIs on-premise and cloud assets against various threats.

What you can expect:

  • Securing RBIs assets against DDoS attacks and other related attack vectors
  • Assist in the implementation and management of DDoS mitigation strategies
  • Enhancing our network and cloud security capability by tuning and enhancing our protective capabilities
  • Increase the threat protection on RBIs cloud assets
  • Analyze security incidents and provide timely responses to mitigate risks
  • Providing management oversight in identification, triaging and response to security events/incidents
  • Continuously enhancing detection and incident response capabilities

What you bring on the table:

  • Knowledge in network protocols and network security architecture concepts
  • Basic understanding of DDoS attack vectors and mitigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
  • Ability for independent decision-taking and problem resolution
  • IT related education (computer science, information technology etc.) from HTL or FH

Nice to have

  • Knowledge in the use of machine learning for anomaly detection
  • Vendor independent security certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CEH, ...)
  • Practical experience in IT security in large enterprises
  • Experience as security operations center analyst and practical experience with a SIEM system
